Statement # 4: We can accept Intelligent Design because evolution fails math.
Scientific Rule: Statistical analysis
Evidence: When evolution is viewed from statistical analysis we discover it cannot stand up to the probability that natural selection and macroevolution could have been the mechanism of origins. The evidence points to less than a zero probability for the evolutionary origins of the earth and its inhabitants.
British mathematician, Roger Penrose indicates, "The odds against such an occurrence were on the order of 10^10^123 to 1.
"It is hard even to imagine what this number means. In math, the value 10 to the 123rd means 1 followed by 123 zeros. (This is, by the way, more than the total number of atoms 10 to the 78th believed to exist in the whole universe.)" 1 Penrose's answer indicates a significant failure within the theory of evolution.
"The French mathematician, Emile Borel, in his book, "Probabilities and Life" ('62; in chapters 2 &3), explains that any occurrence with a chance of happening that is less than one chance out of 1050, is an occurrence with such a slim a probability that is statistically considered to be zero. (1050 is the number 1 with 50 zeros after it, and it is spoken: "10 to the 50th power"). Borel's appraisal seems fairly reasonable, when you consider that 1050 is about the number of atoms which make up the planet earth. Most mathematicians and scientists have accepted this statistical standard for many purposes." 2
When evolution is viewed from statistical analysis we discover it cannot stand up to the probability that natural selection and macroevolution could have been the mechanism of origins. The evidence points to zero probability for evolutionary theory.
Origin theories indicate that either someone designed the earth and those who inhabit it or nothing was designed and nothing exists. However, since a human population does exist the evidence suggests design. The implication for evolutionists is huge, which might explain their vitriolic defense of their statistically failed theory.
