Statement # 3: We can accept Intelligent Design as compatible with microevolution.
Scientific Rule: Observation
Evidence: Intelligent design evidence supports the microevolutionary processes. What this means is both Darwinian evolutionists and intelligent design theorists have observed microevolution and neither deny its existence.
Microevolution is the science of adaptable changes noted within a creature that allow it to better manage its environment or circumstance. Insects have developed new functions that make them less susceptible to pesticides. Birds have adapted to new environments with minor biological changes through microevolutionary changes. The results have provided living beings with the capability of adaptation to environmental changes.
While intelligent design theorists are willing to accept microevolution based on scientific evidence Darwinian evolutionists are back peddling from the importance of the evidence.
Some Darwinian evolutionists want to abolish the distinctions between the terms microevolution and macroevolution. Their argument maintains that if microevolution can be observed that macroevolution must be true, therefore any distinction must be eliminated because, for the evolutionists there is a fear of the questions surrounding a distinct lack of observable evidence in macroevolution.
Because macroevolution has never been observed in either life or the fossil records intelligent design theorists do not find reason to accept a logic defying jump between microevolution, which is observed, and macroevolution, which is not observed.
The implications of accepting two different sciences by evolutionists only serve to bolster their assertions that natural selection coupled with time and chance results in a new species. If microevolution, which is provable is viewed as interchangeable with macroevolution, which is not provable then a line of scientific distinction is significantly blurred.
There is no evidence that mankind, or any other creature, has morphed into a separate new creature. There are microevolutionary changes within species, but no NEW species has evolved.
The evidence suggests that microevolution is a wonderful feature useful to designed beings.
