Evolution - Historical Observations
Life began with a single cell organism.
When the theory of Darwinian evolution began it was thought that a single cell organism would be easy to develop and mutate into something new and altogether different. In truth, such a simple organism requires billions of interrelated parts and systems to exist (something Darwin could not have known at the time).
The thought that such an organism came into being (when this phenomenon has never been observed) is an assumption of epic proportions. Further, all animal life has so many complex interdependent systems it is statistically impossible to calculate the possibility that such systems developed simultaneously to allow the individual bodies to exist and then propagate.
The existence of both male and female in animal species further dilutes any possibility of random chance. In the case of reproduction both male and female are perfectly suited to develop offspring. Again the statistical evidence indicates there is zero probability that evolution was used in the development of complimentary sexes for reproduction.
Humans are the result of natural selection.
One of the primary tenants of evolutionary thought is the survival of the fittest. To follow this to it's logical conclusion would result in anarchy and barbarism, not an enlightened future species. Previous generations have experienced the full affects of evolutionary thought when the weak and infirmed are left to die. It also plays a role in situations where one people express bigotry and hatred toward another resulting in 'ethnic cleansing'. Ironically such thinking still exists.
If natural selection were followed to it logical conclusion we would have to assume that there was a single ancestor organism from which all life comes. If this were true then we would be considered the worst of barbarians for eating any meat because essentially we would be eating a link to our common heritage.
Transitional links (hominids) explain how we evolved.
There are twelve proffered hominids. In each case these transitional links were offered as proof of evolution. In each case the science was reexamined and the hominid was discovered to belong to an existing or extinct species.
Of the vast array of fossils there are none that demonstrate a transitional creature.
Microevolution can be demonstrated as proof of evolution.
Evolution relies on macroevolution (not microevolution) to explain the transitional change in mankind and animals. Microevolution can be observed and demonstrates positive adaptations within an existing species. Macroevolution insists that there have been many stages in the development of life as we see it.
Macroevolution has never been observed so it cannot be relied on as a true test of scientific study.
Mutations help explain evolutionary theory.
It is true there are mutations that have occurred in a variety of species. However, this argument also seems antithetical to evolutionary thought if for no other reason that the mutations we can observe do not serve to make the creature something better than they were previously.
Yes, mutations can be observed, but they do nothing to advance a species.
The more one studies evolutionary theory, the more inconsistencies in logic are made evident. It is interesting to note that as evolutionary theories are ultimately dismissed scientists work to develop additional theories to help explain why the original theory was still correct.
Because evolutionary theory is taught in schools there are generations of adults and children who accept faulty theory as undeniable fact. Many evolutionary websites will have visitors that will post their staunch belief that evolution is irrefutable.
Logic can be a great equalizer in the current debate in origins.
